Ikwezi Colliery is situated near Newcastle in KwaZulu Natal. The plant has been in operation for a number of years and produce coal for the export market.
The Ikwezi project comprised the construction of a Filter Plant as an addition to the production plant. Filter plants forms part of an environmental drive to reduce safely get rid of waste material and enabling the recycling of water that is used in the processing of coal.
